I am launching a project for customized Android e-book reader. The requirement comes from a church organization.

I am going to post the update and progress of this project here.

Update 2015 Nov 8:

• Investigation and trial of an existing e-book reader FBReader.
  Certainly the first option to proceed for now.
• Major progress regarding to the techniques of Full Text Search on Android.
  Especially the working around solution for FTS of Asian characters. (Post coming).
